She is a polyglot, a talented translator of dragon languages, and belongs to the second class. And the words “second class” essentially embody the difference between something and nothing.
However, when Viv’s parents are arrested and her younger sister is in danger, the girl wakes up. The world is not as fair and meritocratic as she saw it in her “bubble.” To save her loved ones, Viv is essentially forced to make a “deal with the devil”…
But the stakes in this deal are much, much higher than Vivien’s family’s life.
